Hello! I came here to discuss something timely...

How do I start this.. Hmm.. Its about the WILD WILD CYBER WORLD! I L-O-V-E the cyber world or perhaps.. WE LOVE the cyber world.. Personally, I prefer 'that' than the real world. Napakadali i-control ang WIDE ARRAY factors ng buhay!

So tama na ang pasakalye.. Deretso na.. Eto ang topic ko RESPONSIBLE SOCIAL NETWORKING...

You know what? LAHAT as in L-A-H-A-T ng social networking (at least) sites ay binibigyan ang kanilang users ng option and freedom to customize their privacy.. Privacy, which is sometimes neglected by its users..

Yeah.. That IS EXISTING.. USE IT!

At sa negligence natin ng privacy na ito ginagawa natin ang sarili nating PRONE sa HACKING, PHISHING, TERRORIZING, at kung ano-ano pang kahindik-hindik na bagay.. DISREGARDING this privacy is like walking in the middle of crossfire NAKED.

Eto na ang rant ko.. I don't get why people seem to ASK FOR ATTENTION in the cyber world yet if given such they can't handle the cost at stake?! Aminin kaya binobroadcast natin ang mga katagang "FOLLOW ME ON ______", "ADD/SUBSCRIBE ON MY FEED ON _______", "ASK ME ON ______", "PALIKE NAMAN NG ______", "READ MY BLOG ON ______" gusto natin yung feeling na someone out there is interested with our brain farts. Well I can't blame such, dulot kasi ng Entertainment-focused culture na laganap sa Pilipinas. Para sakin simple lang.. Hindi masama ibahagi ang mga brain farts natin sa internet (oo itong blog ko example) pero syempre being aware of its consequences is a BIG thing. But to advertise/near to force them to follow your farts is.. disgusting. Kung genuinely interested ang isang tao sa ginagawa mo sa buhay it will come naturally.

Kaya kung 1000+ ang FACEBOOK 'friends' mo tapos sasabihin mo kung sino-sino ang nakikita mo sa news feed mo o nababanas ka na sa feed mo sa TWITTER na palaging flooded.. Don't you ever be surprised. Think before you click! Di naman mandatory and add friend o follow button. If someone's starting to ruin your serene cyber life, it probably the best time to practice hitting the block button (Yeah I've used that button already ☺) !

Edi i-unfollow.. Twitter aims for you to stay in touch to the PEOPLE/ORGANIZATION you CARE THE MOST!

Tapos eto pang isa, yung meron kang PUBLIC ASKING ACCOUNT tapos naiinis ka dahil kung ano-anong nakakasakit/nakakabastos/nakakaewan na mga tanong ang natatanggap mo.. SERIOUSLY?! Ina-advertise mo pa nga yan eh.. AT MERON yang PRIVACY SETTING.. Seen this dilemma many times now.. Even I was once a victim (yeah the FORMSPRING era..) Matagal nang nagiging avenue ang public asking site sa mga bullies (DUH?! Sino pa ang di nakakaalam) For more info click HERE.

My point? Lahat yan ginusto mo/ko/natin.. Aminin.. You set your "cyber life" to public so you also have to take the negative aspect of doing such.. PACKAGE DEAL SILA... 2 in 1 ika nga.

To cite few relatively 'famous' example.. SHARON CUNETA. Nuffsaid. Kung di nyo alam.. GOOGLE is your BESTFRIEND.

Oo kahit ako guilty ako sa mga statements above.. Pero I felt the need to say it here at alam ko na kung sakali mang na encounter ko ang mga bagay na ganito meron akong BLAME TO SHARE. Because even I was troubled by this issue pero siguro may iilan inosente pa sa FACTS ng cyber world na ganito.

Saka..  IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO men! Sino ba ang may kasalanan ang critics na sinasamantala ang 'Anonymity' o ang receiver ng criticisms na hindi man lang pinapahalagahan ang proteksyon na binibigay ng 'Service Provider'? Hmm..

I would like to REITERATE the vital points of this post: Wag kalimutan functional ang BLOCK, UNFRIEND, UNSUBSCRIBE, SET TO PRIVATE, UNFOLLOW buttons.. At ginawa sila for the users to utilize at APPROPRIATE TIMES. Or better yet, if you can't handle the WILDERNESS of the WEB, SHUTDOWN YOUR COMPUTER AND EXPLORE THE WORLD OUTSIDE. :)

So there! Internet can be both a bane or a boon... Depende sa paraan ng paggamit ng tao. :)

Isa pa palang LAST na promise.. Cyber bullying is NOT COOL.. :(
